News From the Farm
Upcoming Events
We will be doing a couple of virtual events this winter that we know of so far, including presenting at the MA NOFA Winter Conference January 8-10th, and the Authors and Artists Festival Feb 27-28. Please visit these websites to learn more about these wonderful events rich with speakers! We are glad to be among them.
Stay tuned for dates for 2021 No-Till For Life Workshop. Seeds of Solidarity founder and farmer; Ricky, teaches regenerative, soil building techniques for low maintenance, highly productive gardens. Treating the soil as sacred results in nourishing food, mitigates impacts of climate change, and inspires a deeper relationship with that which sustains life.
$35-$50 sliding scale fee. Please email solidarity@seedsofsolidarity.org to register.
Garlic Festival
As aligned with state guidelines and for the collective good, we were not able to hold an on-field Garlic and Arts Festival this year, but the festival website will get you to a new YouTube channel with over 120 new and archived videos of performance, cooking workshops, energy conservation ideas, exhibitor behind the scenes and more. Also, Enjoy this list of great farmstands, markets, and hikes to enjoy in the area.
Tours
No tours in 2020 to be COVID safe, stay tuned for 2021! Solidarity Saturday Farm Tours are a great way to learn more about our farm including solar greenhouses, energy efficient buildings, abundant market gardens, and solar electric systems. Our solar powered farmstand will be stocked with fresh greens! Our tours are always free!
Contact us about 2021 Group Tours:. We do a limited number of tours for groups each year. These must be scheduled well in advance, and an honorarium to Seeds of Solidarity is requested.
Education and Development
Custom Workshops and Presentations: We can provide ‘Grow Food Everywhere’ workshops, keynotes, presentations, and workshops at conferences, events and schools. We also do phone or in-person consults on vision and program development. Contact us to discuss workshop and consultation fees.
We hope to be back teaching at the Omega Institute in some fashion in 2021 as they re-open their programming.
